KEN GREEN MEMORIAL
As many of you know, Ken Green (Carrie's father) has been fighting Alzheimer's disease. Sadly, Ken succumbed May 2nd, 2015, just minutes after sunrise.
Ken has been instrumental in building and growing True Insight. He was an early graduate of the meditation, Intuitive Program, and Hands on Healing programs and was the senior board member of the spiritual center. I got to know Ken through his stories; his was a classic American one. He was a hard-working German, a car-loving, ball-buster from Detroit. He went west young, handsome, and lanky, the youngest of three brothers.
Ken became a machinist at Bendix Aviation, a manufacturer of aircraft parts. He married and provided for three kids of his own. Owner of Green’s Holiday Lodge in Lake Tahoe, he was well-traveled and retired early. He built a sailboat in his backyard and sailed to Puerto Vallarta. He was someone special, a genuine healer, and a substantial contributor to the kaleidoscope of life. Ken knew no strangers and in his own words "got along with everybody." His family and friends will miss him dearly.
Thank you dad for being the Best Dad Ever. I love you! You have always been my guiding light.
Kenneth Green ~ September 11th, 1920 to May 2nd, 2015. 94 years young!
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't
do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe
harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
— Mark Twain
